Choose a film...

I am applying for a licence to show films in the Meeting Point next year and I need some help choosing the first film.  Ideally it will appeal to young people in the village or surrounding area aged 11+, I'm going to send them all an invite in the post.  However anyone will be able to buy a ticket and come.  The School already have a regular film club for the younger children so I'm looking for something a bit more grown up.  Beaford Arts will be supplying all the equipment so it will be a real cinema experience, we will transform the room into a quirky pop up cinema complete with popcorn and snacks.
Here is my short list so far, please could you email me your choice or ideas or find the poll on Facebook ( www.facebook.com/HighBickingtonCPT ).  Thank you very much.
  • Streetdance: feel good British dance film featuring Britain's Got Talent winners, Diversity.
  • Green Lantern: Adventure sees reluctant hero given alien ring with super powers
  • Hanna: Adolescent hit-girl movie, fairy tale with action and a coming of age thriller all in one
  • Thor: Marvel comic book, slick, visually spectacular superhero movie
  • Whale Rider: young Maori girl challenges tradition to take up place at head of tribe (I love this but has everyone already seen it?)

This site is good for reviews http://www.rottentomatoes.com/ or there are plenty others. If anyone is mad about film and wants to become a local promoter/organiser please do get in touch.
