Future Plans
David Brown and Bob Paterson had a very constructive meeting with John Mills, Devon County Council's Director of Finance and Resources, on 12th November to discuss the content of a report being made to the County Council's Executive Committee on 27th November. The report will ask the County Council to take 'in principle' decisions regarding transfer of land to the CPT and the estimated financial implications of the project proceeding towards the obtaining of planning approval and subsequent development of the project to completion.
Bob Head, Project Manager, has sought bids for providing the various professional services needed to prepare the detailed planning application. Interviews and decisions on these appointments will be made in the near future. It is hoped that the full planning application can then be worked up and be submitted to Torridge District Council in April or May next year.
Housing Survey
John Scott, of the Community Council of Devon, is in the process of finalising his report on the outcomes from the Parish Housing Needs Survey that was conducted in August on our behalf.
An executive summary will be published in Ramblings as soon as it is available, the full report put on the High Bickington and Community Council websites and hard copies made available locally for consultation. As noted previously, all individual responses will remain confidential.
Project Coordinator's hours
From the beginning of November David Venner has been working two days per week (instead of half time) - his normal working days will be Thursdays and Fridays.
Any questions, comments etc about the proposals for Little Bickington Farm can be directed to the Project Coordinator/Administrator or any of the directors of the CPT via the Project office, The Meeting Point, North Road, High Bickington.
