June Update

Revised Plans for Little Bickington Farm

The Exhibition of the revised plans will be held in the Meeting Point over the last weekend in July, at the following times:

Saturday 28th July 10.00am - 4.00pm
(with official opening at 1.00pm by Geoffrey Cox, QC, MP)

Sunday 29th July 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Everyone is encouraged to come along to one of these sessions to view the architect's plans and sketches. We hope to have displays on renewable energy technologies etc. and there will be an opportunity to ask questions, to discuss the proposals in detail and to give feedback to project members.

Housing Survey

This is a vital piece of work to give an up-to-date picture of housing need for the new planning application. It will ask for the views of everyone in the parish about housing issues - not just those in housing need. The survey will take place towards the end of July, with survey forms distributed before the Exhibition. Those who wish to find out more about the plans for affordable housing can discuss these at the Exhibition and then complete and return the forms afterwards.

Community Woodland

There will be a guided walk to and around Quarry Wood on Thursday 14th June, starting at 6.00pm in the village (in front of the school). Committee members will be on hand to lead you around the wood and explain how and why the wood was planted and to talk about future plans for improving it. There will be special activities for children - we ask that under 11s should please be accompanied by a responsible adult. The evening will finish with a barbecue in the wood (or at Little Bickington if wet) for which a small charge will be made. All welcome.

Project office: The Meeting Point, North Road, High Bickington.
