May Update

Revised Plans for Little Bickington Farm

A Viability Appraisal for the revised scheme is expected to be confirmed shortly and will be used to obtain the support of the County Council at a meeting later in the month. The Exhibition and Housing Survey will now be held at the end of July - see next month's Ramblings for further details.

General Meeting of the CPT

Members (shareholders) of the CPT are reminded that there will be a special general meeting, on Tuesday 8th May at 8.00pm at the Meeting Point, to appoint new auditors.

Membership

All residents and people with a connection to the parish, over the age of 18, are entitled to buy a £1 share and become a member of the Community Property Trust by applying to the Secretary, David Venner, at the address given below.

Community Woodland

A new pedestrian entrance has now been installed in the bottom corner of the wood on Quarry Road. The gate enables a shorter and safer route to be followed from the village to the playing field. (For those new to the parish, Quarry Road runs southwards from near the Methodist Chapel.) After passing Lower Farm and Homewell Cottage look for the new steps and gate on the left. Just follow the path from the new gate up the left hand side of the wood to the field gate at the top and turn left along Quarries Lane to the playing field.

Thanks are due to Derek Herniman for making the gate and handrails and to Stan Parker for providing some of the stone.

Project office: The Meeting Point, North Road, High Bickington.
