Exhibition of Revised Plans
An Exhibition of the revised plans for Little Bickington Farm will be held in the Meeting Point, High Bickington, on the following dates and times:
Friday 27th April 2.00 - 4.00pm and 7.00 - 9.00pm
Saturday 28th April 10.00am - 12.00 noon and 2.00 - 4.00pm
Sunday 29th April 2.00 - 4.00pm
The Friday afternoon session will be specially for children and their parents. Please book these dates and times in your diaries and look out for more information in next month's Ramblings and on the website.
As well as the plans we hope to have a model and artist's impressions of the proposed development and demonstrations of renewable energy technologies. Throughout the weekend, directors and staff of the CPT will be present to explain what the plans mean and to answer questions. There will also be a chance to speak to a rural housing enabler from the Community Council of Devon about applying for affordable housing. (See below).
Housing Survey
Arrangements for the new survey are well advanced. The survey is for everyone to complete, not just those in need of a local, affordable home. Forms will be distributed after Easter and collected following the Exhibition at the end of April. So if anyone would like to view the plans or to talk in confidence with a rural housing enabler before completing the form, please come along to the Exhibition.
Community Woodland
On Saturday 17th February volunteers spent the morning in Quarry Wood carrying out various maintenance tasks - replacing trees that have failed, straightening up stakes and shelters that had blown over in the wind - and planning the various improvements that are to be made this spring and summer, such as installing new gates, information boards and a picnic table. There will be further working visits to the wood in mid April, June, August and October. Look out for further information in Ramblings and on the website over the next few months.
