Planning Inquiry
As reported more fully elsewhere in Ramblings , the Inquiry will be held in the Church Hall, from 17 th - 19 th January. Anyone wishing to speak at the Inquiry will need to agree this with the Inspector at 10am on 17 th January.
Housing
The Community Council of Devon's Rural Housing Enabler has been helping us to keep our knowledge of affordable housing requirements up to date. It is reassuring to note that interest in the scheme has been maintained despite the planning delay and in fact new applicants have come forward saying they wish to be added to the list.
Community Woodland
The 7th January will be the first anniversary of the planting of Quarry Wood. The Community Woodland Committee will be meeting soon to review maintenance needs for the coming year, including replacement of the few trees that have failed to grow. We are also hoping to arrange a training course in hedgebank restoration - more details should be available next month. Anyone interested in either of these tasks, please contact David Venner.
Sport and Recreation
The Sport England funding application is progressing well. The deadline for submitting the latest details was December 9 th . The application will now go to the Regional Sports Board on 18 th January and we hope for a successful outcome.
