Future Plans

The professional team are now working steadily towards the production of the detailed planning application which we hope to submit in April/May this year. Work is also in progress on the contract to be agreed with Devon CC before the handover of the land can take place.

Housing Survey

John Scott of the Community Council of Devon has informed us that there was a 48% response rate to the Parish Housing Needs Survey, conducted in August on our behalf. Apparently this is a very good response rate for this type of survey. We look forward to receiving their detailed analysis and report in the next few weeks. The overall results will be made public although individual responses will of course remain confidential.

Future plans

The meeting with Devon and Torridge Chief Executives and others on May 25th, at which the revised plans were discussed, was generally positive and as a result the process of preparing the new planning application has started. It is hoped that this will be ready for submission by early November. A Joint Statement was issued following the meeting and this is reproduced below.

A Viability Appraisal for the revised scheme is expected to be confirmed shortly and will be used to obtain the support of the County Council at a meeting later in the month. The Exhibition and Housing Survey will now be held at the end of July - see next month's Ramblings for further details.

General Meeting of the CPT

Members (shareholders) of the CPT are reminded that there will be a special general meeting, on Tuesday 8th May at 8.00pm at the Meeting Point, to appoint new auditors.
